Frequently asked questions
What is Tanaroom?
Tanaroom is a language-learning app built around smart flashcards with spaced repetition. You learn in short daily sessions of about 5 minutes, review words right before you would forget them, and see clear progress in one simple app.
Is Tanaroom free?
Yes. Tanaroom is free to download and comes with a full-featured free plan, because access matters. An optional premium subscription unlocks additional features, but you can learn every day without paying.
Which languages can I learn with Tanaroom?
You can learn nine languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Hindi, and Bulgarian. The app interface is available in the same nine languages, so you can learn from your native language.
Is Tanaroom good for beginners?
Yes. Tanaroom works out of the box: you can start with personalized decks or create your own flashcards. The spaced-repetition schedule adapts to your pace, and short daily sessions of about 5 minutes build vocabulary step by step.
How does spaced repetition work in Tanaroom?
Tanaroom schedules each flashcard for review right before you would forget it: difficult words come back more often, familiar ones less often. This spaced-repetition method builds long-term memory in less study time than cramming.
How do I create my own flashcards?
You create flashcards directly in the app and organize them into decks and folders. If you prefer a guided start, Tanaroom also prepares personalized decks and practice for you.
What AI features does Tanaroom have?
Tanaroom uses AI to generate practice texts, select keywords from a text, and identify parts of speech. AI features are included in the free plan, and a premium subscription raises the usage limits.
Can I practice reading in Tanaroom?
Yes. Tanaroom includes reading practice: texts you can read in the app with audio playback. You can select keywords from a text to turn them into flashcards, and match quizzes help you check what you remember.
What is Tanar and how does gamification work?
Tanar is the virtual fox pet in Tanaroom that reacts to how you learn. Completing your monthly learning goals earns rewards, such as food for the pet, which turns daily practice into a habit.
How much time do I need per day?
About 5 minutes a day is enough to make steady progress. Tanaroom is built around short daily sessions, because small consistent reviews work better for remembering vocabulary than long cramming sessions.
Does Tanaroom work offline?
Yes. You can review your flashcards without an internet connection, and your progress syncs when you are back online. Features that rely on AI, such as text generation, need a connection.
Which platforms is Tanaroom available on?
Tanaroom is built for both iOS and Android. The iOS app is available on the App Store today, and the Android release on Google Play is coming soon.
